Wissam Ishtay

Wissam Ishtay is an Associate for TrailRunner International based in the United Arab Emirates.

Wissam brings more than seven years of experience in bilingual English and Arabic communications and public relations roles across multiple sectors, including energy, logistics, technology, and government.

Prior to joining TrailRunner International, Wissam worked as a Public Relations and Media Relations Lead at Edelman Middle East where he supported several major global corporations and helped drive media relations in the UAE, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and the Middle East region.

He has also served as a Public Relations Account Executive for Atlantis Resorts and a Reporter Executive for CARMA.

Wissam was born in the UAE but is Syrian by heritage. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from the Canadian University Dubai. In his spare time, Wissam practices football and fitness. He also enjoys watching documentaries and looks forward to finishing learning Spanish soon.


Erica Durán

Erica Durán is the Executive Assistant to TrailRunner International’s Executive Chairman, Jim Wilkinson. She is based in the company’s Dallas/Fort Worth headquarters.

Erica has over 20 years of experience in executive administration.  She has partnered with senior managing directors at Accenture, the CIO and senior leadership at Hudson Advisors and the CEO and executive staff at Stewart & Stevenson.

In her spare time, Erica enjoys event planning, musicals, sporting events, serving communities and spending time with her family. Traveling is her favorite hobby, especially returning to her hometown, the Sun City of Texas, El Paso.


Marne Bormann

Marne Bormann is an Employee Experience Manager in TrailRunner International’s Dallas/Fort Worth Office.

Prior to joining TrailRunner, Marne served as the primary customer service representative for Consolidated Insurance Markets, a DFW-based independent insurance brokerage. Before that, Marne was a partner at Tahoe University, a lifestyle experience boutique, where she managed all aspects of operations and finance, marketing initiatives, and relationships with customers and vendors. For nearly a decade, Marne worked as a commercial lines underwriter for Pharmacist Mutual, a private insurance and risk management provider specializing in the healthcare industry.

Marne is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in textiles and apparel. In her free time, Marne enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, and four kids, Cade, Ellie, Mason, and Hadley.


Christoph Diesch

Christoph Diesch is a Director for TrailRunner International based in the United Arab Emirates.

Bringing more than 10 years of government, corporate, and startup communications experience, Christoph joined the firm from Edelman, where he served as Head of Technology for the UAE. In this capacity, Christoph led the development and execution of regional communications strategies for leading international, regional, and UAE-based tech firms.

In addition, Christoph led the communications programs and media centers for some of Dubai’s largest technology events such as GITEX Technology Week, AI Everything, and GISEC. Before leading Edelman’s technology practice, Christoph oversaw large teams on some of the firm’s largest EMEA clients and was part of a dual-hub team operating between London and Dubai for a major multinational client.

Prior to his five-year tenure at Edelman, Christoph held various positions at APCO Worldwide, mainly working on government affairs projects, which included work with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Prime Minister’s Office.

Christoph holds a Master of Science in international management for China from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in international relations and Chinese from the University of Westminster and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Outside of work, and apart from being a passionate dog lover, Christoph enjoys going on long road bike rides through the UAE’s picturesque Al Qudra desert, CrossFit, and reading.


Anan Ibrahim

Anan Ibrahim is a Director for TrailRunner International based in the United Arab Emirates drawing on 14 years of experience in communications in both agency and in-house roles.

Anan specializes in providing counsel and communications support to clients in the energy, oil and gas, and industrials sectors. Prior to joining TrailRunner, Anan led Edelman’s UAE energy practice where she oversaw the setup and growth of the firm’s energy portfolio, which included some of the largest energy companies in the world.

Anan also led large-scale communications projects for clients participating at Expo 2020 and more recently, COP28. She also oversaw the delivery of Arabic spokesperson training modules for senior government officials and C-suite executives.

Before joining Edelman, Anan held an in-house role as Head of Media Relations at the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) for six years. She also previously served in a variety of roles with global firms including Weber Shandwick and Golin.

Anan holds a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from the American University of Sharjah and a Certificate of Crisis Management in social media from the International School of Communication (ISOC).

Anan was born in the UAE but is of Egyptian heritage. She is a mother of two. In her spare time, she knits, watches documentaries, and hopes to write children’s books in the very near future.


Angelique Sanderson

Angelique Sanderson is an Executive Assistant for TrailRunner International based in Austin, Texas.

Prior to joining TrailRunner, Angelique served as Executive Assistant and Director of Operations and Scheduling for Amanda Bush, the Managing Partner of St. Augustine Capital Partners and Executive Vice President of Backpack Networks. Angelique previously held the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO, COO and Executive Vice President at Parsley Energy.

Angelique received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The University of Texas at Austin with a focus in public relations and a minor in French. In her free time, Angelique finds joy in family moments with her husband, daughter, and identical twin sons. An avid soccer and marching band mom, she can often be found cheering enthusiastically on a soccer or football field.


Amanda Bush

Amanda Bush is a Managing Director for TrailRunner International based in Austin, Texas. A seasoned attorney and litigator who also serves as Of Counsel to the Texas law firm Jackson Walker, Amanda has spent her career advising clients facing complex legal matters, including commercial litigation, intellectual property, media, and First Amendment.

A former litigation partner at Jackson Walker, Amanda is also a Managing Partner at Pine Cove Capital, a Texas-based strategic advisory firm. She serves on the Board of Directors for Hanwha Solutions, a multinational energy services, petrochemical, and real estate development company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and on the Board of Directors for Backpack Group, a Miami data solutions provider serving the operators of large buildings.

Amanda was named the 2016 National Woman of the Year by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for raising more than $490,000 in a 10-week fundraising campaign, a national record at the time. Amanda also has served on the Host Committee for the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play golf tournament, on the Advance Team of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and on The Chancellor’s Council for the University of Texas System. She also co-chaired the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy’s Dallas/Fort Worth’s Celebration of Reading from 2003-2014, an event that raised over $1 million annually.

Amanda has been named a “Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters (2007-2014) and a “Top Attorney” by Fort Worth, Texas magazine. In 2012, Amanda was named to the Fort Worth Business Press’s “40 Under 40” list. In addition to her legal, advisory, and charitable work, she has participated in Congressional-led business delegations to international markets including Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Amanda graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas, and she received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.

Amanda lives in Austin with her husband and their two sons.


Britney Montes

Britney Montes is an Analyst in TrailRunner International’s Dallas/Fort Worth office.

Prior to becoming an Analyst, Britney completed the firm’s internship program. She also worked as a public relations intern at Christie Bilbrey.

Britney graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Texas at Arlington.

In her free time, Britney enjoys listening to music, crocheting, and going on long walks around her neighborhood.


Alex Fassnacht

Alex Fassnacht is an Analyst in TrailRunner International’s Dallas/Fort Worth office.

Prior to becoming an Analyst, Alex completed the firm’s internship program. She also worked as a student ambassador in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Southern Methodist University and as an intern in the Office of former President George W. Bush.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and public policy from Southern Methodist University.

In her free time, Alex enjoys running, reading, and being with her friends and family.


Hallie Borgel

Hallie Borgel is an Analyst in TrailRunner International’s Truckee office.

Prior to becoming an Analyst, Hallie completed the firm’s internship program. She also worked as an intern for the Athletics Department at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Hallie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations, advertising, and applied communication at the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno

In her free time, Hallie enjoys working out, hiking, reading, paddle boarding, spending time with friends, and cooking.
